Hypertension can be passed genetically. Many people believed that if they are thin, they are less prone to the disease. But, that is a wrong notion because the disease affects people of all ages, gender, and body size. Those who do not know this fact will probably be surprised if they will find out that one of their thin friends has hypertension.

There are many high blood pressure natural remedies available but one of the most important factor to look into when one has hypertension is the lifestyle especially diet. Many foods nowadays can contribute to the increase of our BP. Examples of such are fatty foods and those that are rich in cholesterol.

When cholesterol deposits in the blood vessel, it will cause delay in the circulation of blood because it will occupy the spaces within. The circulation will be delayed because there is not enough space because of the cholesterol deposits. This will prompt that heart to pump harder so blood will reach its destination. The increase in pumping will cause increased pressure and that results to hypertension.

There are not many high blood pressure cures and so, the safest course of action if to live healthy. There are many ways to live a healthy lifestyle and the most important steps would be healthy diet and regular exercise. These are just simple steps but it hard to implement regularly.

Eating fruits and vegetables is essential because they provide the necessary nutrients needed by the body. One should do away with fatty foods especially those that are cooked with oil. One needs balanced meal everyday but this can be difficult at times because of the fast-paced environment we have today wherein we don’t have time to prepare good food. If we don’t want to develop hypertension, then we should discipline ourselves to stay away from unhealthy foods.

Another thing that we should do regularly is exercise. It helps maintain good blood circulation, burns fats, prevents cholesterol build-up, strengthen muscles and bones, control BP, etc. There are still many benefits of exercise therefore, it is healthy to start and maintain the habit of exercising regularly. Not many people can practice this habit because of their busy lifestyle. Once again, if you don’t want to develop hypertension or you want to control your BP, exercise regularly.

Hypertension can lead to stroke and stroke can lead to either paralysis or instant death. Although this disease is very dangerous, it can be prevented by following healthy diets for high blood pressure and exercise. If it runs in the family, it can be cured or prevented if one knows how to modify lifestyle and tailor it to making healthy habits.
