Hypertension is developed in a lot of ways. The two main causes of hypertension these days are unhealthy lifestyle and genetic inheritance. These two causes are modifiable if one understands the disease, do some action to modify lifestyle and discipline oneself.
To understand further on hypertension, it is a disease caused by uncontrolled increase in BP. There are many ways that our BP will increase but if we relate it to lifestyle, it is our diet that greatly affects it. If we keep on eating cholesterol-rich and fatty foods, we are very prone to hypertension.
Cholesterol build-up in the blood vessels of our body will lessen the circulation. Therefore, the heart will need to pump harder to push blood for proper circulation. The increase in pumping and pushing will result to increase in pressure inside the vessel thus will result to hypertension.
If we do not understand this phenomenon, we will keep on eating unhealthy foods. It is therefore very important that everyone must be informed on how the disease develops so that the causes can be prevented. Once one has a total understanding on the disease, the next thing to do is to act on it.
The action that must be done should be directed to preventing or controlling the increase in BP. This includes eating healthy foods such as fruits and vegetable daily, regular exercise, doing away with unhealthy vises such as smoking, alcohol drinking, drugs, etc. If you are already diagnosed with having the disease, along with living a healthy lifestyle, you should also drink your high blood pressure cures or your medication that will lower down your BP or control it.
The course of action may sound easy but it is actually very difficult to implement for most people who do not have self-discipline. Therefore, Discipline is another thing to consider if you want to prevent development of hypertension. If you have enough control to do away with unhealthy lifestyle, then you can achieve your goal of preventing the disease. Otherwise, if you cannot discipline yourself to eating healthy food, exercising and giving up on your vices, expect that hypertension will soon kill you.
It is therefore essential that we understand the disease, do something by planning some course of action for controlling high blood pressure and to prevent increase in BP and disciplining ourselves to follow the routine we have planned.
